GENERAL PRODUCTS
Most of our manufacturers guarantee their products with a warranty of up to 12 months. Please contact us if you have questions regarding specific product warranties. This warranty is for residential use only and does not cover usage in a commercial environment.
Warranty is void if non- contract viable product is placed in a commercial or non-residential setting. Warranty is void if any modifications, including re-upholstering, have been made by any dealer, trade partner or person. This Warranty does not apply to any condition or damage which is not a Defect, including without limiting the generality of the foregoing, any condition or damage resulting from neglect, misuse or abuse, accident, unreasonable or unintended strain or use, or any condition resulting from incorrect or inadequate maintenance, cleaning or care, or any damage to or failure of the finish resulting from alcohol, water, fabric dye transfer, or cleaning substance or liquid damage, exposure to sunlight, household humidity, or incorrect application of chemical treatment or any protective coating applied by the the consumer. Markings on the underside of product are not considered Defects
- No warranties or returns or exchange on discontinued and/or clearance-priced products.
SOFA/UPHOLSTERY
FRAME AND SPRING
Our frame and suspension system is warranted to be free of defects due to faulty materials or workmanship for period of 12 months, under normal residential care and use. This warranty is only valid to the original owner as long as the furniture is upholstered in its original fabric.
FABRICS
Fabrics are traditionally NOT guaranteed against wear, fading or shrinking because fabrics are used in various settings. Fabrics are warranted for a period of six months against defective material or workmanship as well as unusual wear resulting from normal residential use and care.
This warranty does not cover (COM Fabrics), wear, fading, shrinkage, fabric slubs (which are normal in woven fabric construction), stretching, which can occur with normal use of most fabrics, dye transfer. Some fabrics like velvets or chenilles which have a nap, will naturally wear or mark after use. These nuances are a characteristic of the fabric and are not considered a flaw or defect. If you choose to have fabric protection or other chemical treatments applied to your purchase, most have their own warranty, which will replace and void this warranty. Fabric damage or failure due to heavy soiling, or improper cleaning are not covered. Cushion and pillow covers should never be machine washed as the covers may shrink and seam integrity may be affected. InStyle Home & Rugs will not be responsible for damage due to machine washing of covers.
SEAT CUSHIONS
We warrant all cushion cores not to collapse for period of 12 months under normal residential care and use. All foams and filling materials will soften and conform to the shape of the users; this is considered normal and is not a defect. Please note that all seat cushions and back pillows "must" be maintained on a regular basis to promote appearance and even wear.
SEAMS
Seams are reinforced by using the latest technology in sewing. Please inspect all seams upon receiving your sofa and report any defects within Seven days. Any defects in workmanship should appear within the three months of usage and its covered for period of six months.
MARBLES
As marble is a natural material, unique veining, pitting, fissures, micro-cracks and colour variations are all characteristics that add to the uniqueness and beauty of each piece and is not considered as a defect.
WOOD AND WOOD VENEER
As wood is an organic, porous material, these pieces will contain natural variation of texture and may also exhibit fine indentations and cracks. Wood pieces will also display a disparity of colour and grain, and visible knots and burls are all characteristics that add to the uniqueness and beauty of each piece and is not considered as a defect. By nature, solid wood will expand and contract in response to the environment’s humidity and temperature and over time, cracks may develop.
TEAK WOOD
Teak wood has a high oil content that enables its outdoor resistant properties. High oil content is a sign of good quality teak. As a result, our outdoor teak furniture tends to bleed these natural oils when exposed to the elements. The bleeding of teak oil tends to be higher during the first 2-3 months and will subside over time.
In event of a stain, we recommend gently cleaning any cushions or fabrics with a cloth, sponge, or soft brush. Additionally, all SUNPAN outdoor performance fabrics can be hand or machine-washed at 40° C (100° F). After washing we recommend that you re-apply a textile protector, which safeguards the fabric with an invisible, water and stain repellent film. Please see machine wash instructions below:
- Machine wash in lukewarm water (up to 40° C or 100° F) at a gentle setting.
- Iron at a low setting (110° C or 230° F).
- Do not dry-clean.
- Tumble dry, low permanent press.
RUGS
InStyle Home's rug products come with a product warranty of up to 6 months against manufacturing defects depending upon the construction (weaving) of the rug as below:
Hand Knotted, Tibetan. 6 Months
Hand Tufted, Handloom, Flat weave, Shags. 3 Months
Defects outside product warranty entitlement
- - Shedding, which can be reduced by vacuuming the rug at low power mode at least once a week
- - Sprouting pulls or loss of some tufts of fiber
- - Color and texture changes due to the use of natural fibers and dyes or prolonged exposure to sunlight, humidity, heat, or certain gases
- - Rolling marks can disappear with routine vacuuming
- - Matting and crushing in rugs, which can be minimized by proper maintenance of the rug
- - Rugs recently removed from a bag may have odor which can dissipate by placing the rug (back side up) in direct sunlight for 24 hours
- No warranties or returns on discontinued and/or clearance-priced rugs.
